Modern Bride, Elegant Bride, and Gourmet are shut down?
Say it ain’t so! As bride going into her second year of engagement, I’ve come to love and adore Elegant Bride and Modern Bride as two seasonal staples to my sporatic magazine buying.
Don’t get me wrong Martha… I still love you. But Elegant bride really brings something else to the table that I just don’t see in the handmade favors and kitchy kind of ideas that surface in Martha Stewart weddings.
Since my wedding is low-budget, I certainly can’t be complaining as inevitably my favors WILL be hand-made, hahaha… but a girl can dream, can’t she?
Conde Nast, long running champion in the magazine world, has begun to shed the fat, and I only shudder at additional titles that will have to be cut yet. I hate recessions. What a shame that they hurt creative development.
The only redeemable value about the Internet these days is the low barriers/cost to entry ;) Elegant Bride can live on in the ethersphere…
