The First Casualty of the Season
I don’t know about the rest of you, but Fall is in FULL SWING here in the Ruggieri/Conley household :)
The house is decked to the nines with Halloween decorations of skulls, rats, bats, and an occasional tame pumpkin or two peppering the house (both inside AND out!); and to compliment we have rustic leaves, cheese cloth, and of course a full-on army of Fall Scented candles throughout the house.
It’s true… it started with one harmless candle I bought for Rich at the grocery store because he loves the season so much… and quickly multiplied to a 3 full size blazing Yankee Candles in assorted scents strategically positioned around the house.
I kid you not. Whether we are upstairs or down, we’ve got the whole house orchestrated in a medley of hayride/candied apple/leaf pile memory-inducing scents.
I am sad to report that as I sit here and write my last post of the evening that the first original fluorescent-pumpkin-colored candle I bought for Ricardo this season has bit the dust. Farewell first soldier of the season - you are a bidder of good things to come.
