Love this idea - can we get some at Penn State? :) My internal dilemma - so “off the grid” now means not requiring any electricity, but doesn’t imply not connected to the digital world? Hmmmmmmm.  An “off the grid” compactor with a wireless monitor, lol! hunsonisgroovy: BigBelly Solar Compactors Each BigBelly is a bin and compactor in one. By compacting trash on the street, the 32-gallon BigBelly can hold 150 to 200 gallons of trash.
